  • Drop to the floor.
  • Take cover under a study table or other piece of furniture and use your arms to protect your head and neck from falling debris or shattering glass.
  • Hold on until the shaking stops.
  • Tune in to an EAS radio station.
  • Stay out of elevators.
  • Stay away from glass windows and doors.
  • Stay inside until shaking stops and you are advised it is safe to go outside.
  • Continue to listen to your EAS radio station for information.
  • If you are outside or in a motor vehicle, stay away from buildings, trees, overpasses and utility wires.
