Six reasons to go to a reception center

• To leave an area that may become unsafe.
• If there has been a release of radioactive material from Vermont Yankee, you will be monitored and if necessary, be decontaminated.
• Food and lodging will be provided to those persons who live in an evacuated area.
• All persons who go to the reception center will be registered to facilitate re-unification with family members.
• Registration will make possible later claims easier to establish.
• Medical assistance and counseling will be available.
