Evacuation Information
Did You Know?
In 1990, hot, dry weather conditions in California contributed to brush fires in Santa Barbara County that destroyed more than 600 buildings, caused over $200 million of damage and killed one person.
Some emergencies such as flooding, an incident at Entergy Nuclear Vermont Yankee, or major chemical spills may require evacuation. When you hear the alert, tune your radio to an Emergency Alert System station where public safety officials will tell you if evacuation is necessary and what to do.
